Window Soundproofing
To protect yourself from road noise and make your room peaceful again this is a go to. This is often the most challenging due to the lack of proper residential window options but you can still soundproof your windows to a great extent. Sound Transmission Class is a measurement metric for the effectiveness of materials/projects. There are many different methods to soundproofing your windows, here we will discuss a few in order of most effective to least with a rating of their STC.

Window Plugs (9-10/10)
Not the prettiest but the most effective, you do have the option to customize them. Window plugs are handcrafted with an outer layers of MDF, wood offering among the highest STC levels. The wood plug will be shaped like a box and will have layers of MLV for protection against airborne noise and some acoustic foam acting as an insulator. Soundproof adhesive will be used to ensure a seal and the plugs will be lined with EDPM to ensure the strongest seal.
Window Inserts (7-8/10)
Window inserts are lined behind your already existing window, giving you the convenience of being able to take them in and out. You have the option of using typical transparent acrylic glass or a thicker variation specifically made to fight off noise and ensure your peace. Installation time frame will vary on the basis that we have your preferred acrylic sheet in stock.
Window replacement (5-10/10)
This is a permanent solution to ensuring your peace but it is also the costliest. If your goal is solely soundproofing this may not be recommended. The effectiveness of a window replacement will heavily depend on the manufacturer, of which there are not many effective options in Washington State increasing shipping costs. For a window to have high STC, it must have multiple panes while consisting a soundproof alternative to wood or vinyl. If you are looking to increase the value of your home and have a permanent solution, this would be a good option. However, we do not provide this service.
